Telegram Bot API Swagger & OpenAPI 3.1 Docs (185 Methods)

Telegram Bot API Swagger is an interactive Telegram Bot API reference: an OpenAPI 3.1 description of all 185 methods of Bot API 10.3, grouped into 19 tags and rendered with Swagger UI. Every method lists its parameters with types and required flags, links to the official documentation and can be executed live with your bot token.

How to use the Telegram Bot API Swagger docs

  1. Get a bot token from @BotFather; see how to get a Telegram bot token.
  2. Click Authorize and paste the token. Requests go to https://api.telegram.org/bot<token>/METHOD_NAME, so if the server block shows a token variable, fill it in too.
  3. Expand a tag such as Messages, Updates or Ephemeral, or narrow the list with the filter box.
  4. Open a method, click Try it out, edit the JSON body (for sendMessage that means chat_id and text) and click Execute.
  5. Check the status code, response body, request duration and the generated curl command.

When the Swagger docs are the right tool

Keep in mind that "Try it out" sends real requests: sendMessage posts a real message and deleteWebhook really removes your webhook. Experiment with a test bot.

Privacy

Swagger runs entirely in your browser. Requests go straight from the page to api.telegram.org, so your token and API traffic never pass through our servers. If a token leaks anyway, revoke it with /revoke in @BotFather.

For typed forms, long polling and update history, use the Bot API Tester. For per-method pages with curl, Python and JavaScript examples, open the methods reference. Building a Mini App? Test the Telegram.WebApp API in the Mini App Tester.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an OpenAPI spec for the Telegram Bot API?

Telegram documents the Bot API on core.telegram.org. This page provides an independent OpenAPI 3.1 description of all 185 methods of Bot API 10.3 with Swagger UI on top; it is not an official Telegram product.

How do I authorize in the Telegram Bot API Swagger?

Click Authorize and paste the token you got from @BotFather; if the server block shows a token variable, fill it in as well. Requests then go to https://api.telegram.org/bot<token>/METHOD_NAME directly from your browser.

Does Try it out send real requests?

Yes. Execute calls the real Bot API with your token, so methods such as sendMessage, deleteMessage, setWebhook or logOut have real effects. Use a test bot when experimenting.

Which Bot API version do these docs cover?

Bot API 10.3 (August 24, 2026): all 185 methods in 19 tags, including rich messages and ephemeral messages, each with a link to the official documentation.

Should I use Swagger or the Bot API Tester?

Use Swagger to browse the reference, compare request schemas and copy curl commands. Use the Bot API Tester for typed forms, long polling with update history and quick token checks.
